Julian Marshall is a British artist whose thirty-year international career began in fashion and portrait photography, photographing leading models, supermodels and figures from the worlds of fashion and culture for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine.
His paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures have been collected internationally, including in Sydney, New York, London and Paris, most recently for Central Park Tower in New York in collaboration with Blainey North. Based in Paris, he now works primarily in painting and sculpture.

Born in 1965 in Greenwich, London. Lives and works in Paris.
Raised in a household of artists trained at Goldsmiths and the Slade School of Fine Art in London.
1985–89
Studies law at Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent.
In 1990, decides not to pursue a legal career and is offered, by chance, a position as a photographer’s assistant, continuing in that role until 1995.
From 1995 to 2018, works internationally as a fashion and portrait photographer for publications including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview and Vanity Fair.
Between 2018 and 2019, decides to leave high-fashion photography and moves to Paris.
In 2019, establishes a studio in Paris and develops an interdisciplinary practice exploring a variety of media, most importantly painting and sculpture.
